There was other ways that this situation could have been resolved. A person's life should not be terminated by the hands of someone else. But what we would have to understand is that this man loved his wife very much and couldn't stand to see her in that much pain, and would have done anything to comfort her.

But the fact still remains that its wrong. He probably didn't know the consequences of his actions. And with something so severe, he should have consulted a doctor and they could have discussed the issue and made a decision. A person that doesn't have a will to live is a very sketchy situation. Especially when it comes to loved ones, but to take another persons life is crazy.

That person might have been in pain where they felt they wanted to die, but it is hard to distinguish do they really mean it. Some people have overcome Alzheimer's Disease and don't let it ruin their lives. And plenty of them might have thought that they would feel better if they were died. But now they are stronger people because they live with Alzheimer's.

Gilbert should have waited and really thought about what he was doing. Because once someone is gone they can never come back. They are not going to be there to tell the jury that they told you to assist them with their death. She might have went through pain then, but could have survived with Alzheimer's and they could have been living a wonder life together. But now she is dead and he will spend the rest of his life in jail. And many people will say that's not fair, it doesn't have to be fair, its the law.

Or maybe he did know the consequences and thought that it was worth going to jail and not seeing his wife in severe pain anymore. Also his wife may not have known in full what she was actually asking her husband to do. And she said she felt embarrassed, did she think about how embarrassed he would have been if they found out what he did. Asking someone to kill you is hard for both parties and something that really should have been thought about. I don't think I would have done it.

At War With Ourselves

Prompt:http://litmuse.net/prompt_mailer

Im not real big on politics. And I remember exactly where I was when I first heard of the attack on the World Trade Center. I was in the hallway of my middle school, and one of my friends said that another student had to leave school early because his auntie was in the Towers when the plane hit it. To be honest, I didnt even know what the World Trade Center was until it was under attack. It was something that havent been taught to me yet. It wasnt until after the attack that I knew that America had enemies of that nature. Espically when I just left my Social Studies class and the instructor was telling me how great the United States is.

Mailer pointed out the fact that after 9/11, all of a sudden people became very patriotic and begun to wave the American flag everywhere. So after the attack, people looked for George Bush for an answer, and in return we went to war with the terrorists. And some where in the mist of the war, we started a war with Iraq. And all I can remember is people saying that they were against the war and they wanted Bush out of office. But obviously more people wanted him in office because he was reelected to serve a second time as our President. Either that or they were against Kerry and the gay people.

I dont see the purpose of everybody getting mad with Bush. I mean we were the people who put him in office 2 times. But when tragedy strikes, we arent satisfied with his judgement. We need someone to point the finger at, so why not the President. America has had two tragic incidents where the people of the United States were not happy with Bush's decisions, 9/11 and Hurricane Katrina. And I do find it funny that the States all of a sudden became United after both tragedies occured. Terrorist didnt come and flood New Orleans, so the President's to blame. Mailer seem to think that we are at war because of terrorists. And I would have to agree. But deep down inside I tink it was an act of revenge. And that we really wanted to go to war and the attack on 9/11 just intiated thw whole thing. We are at war with terrorist, but we are more at war with ourselves.

Were Alligators the only Prey?

Prompt: http://litmuse.net/prompt_alligator

I would have to rate Ivan a 1. He had the must sense out of everybody in the story. By not getting involve in other people problems I have the most respect for him. I, myself would not get involved in anyone's else problems because its not none of my business. Even though she did go to him, he did the right thing by not getting involve.

The good ole boy Gregory gets a 2. He did nothing wrong in my opinion, and obviously he didnt love Abigail the way she loved him. He felt betrayed by Abigail, and any man would feel the same thing. Was he sleeping with women to try to see Abigail. No man wants a women who slept with another man for such a dumb reason. And after all that he still left her. Thats another sign he wasnt in to her the way she was into him.

Sinbad gets a rating of 3. Many might see his apporch as wrong, but you have to think Abigail was not forced to have sex with Sinbad. She choose to involve herself in intercourse with him. His morals may have been wrong, but he's not the one that deserves the 5.

I would have to rate Slug a 4. He was wrong for involving hisself in Abigail's wrong doing. Gregory did nothing wrong, and didnt deserve to be brutally assualted. I think he felt he had something to prove to Abigail, because he truly was in love with her. But could you really blame him if he was in love with Abigail, I mean she did sleep with another man to show her love.

And last but not least Abigail, she gets the 5. Even though many might see her intentions as being good, I see them as being selfish. Did she sit down and think about how Gregory would feel about the situation? And then have the nerve to tell him, how did she expect him to react. I would have did the same thing. And then her she devil came out in the end when she found it pleasurable when Slug beat up Gregory. This goes to show women will do anything to get their way.

Whose to Decide

Prompt: http://litmuse.net/prompt_rights

As a heterosexual male, I would be hesitant to take my young child to school to find out that they have a homosexual teacher. A persons sexual preference should be their own choice, but I feel that there would be a major distraction in my child's learning process. Elementary kids are way to young at that age to know what gay is. In high school and college, I don't really see a problem with having a gay teacher. Because at that age, in my opinion, you are old enough to fully understand the meaning of homosexual, or at least have a general understanding. But at that young age they don't know what gay means, and that could have an effect on if a kid considers becoming gay in the future.

I really think that at the tender age of 7 or 8, my child wouldn't need to be questioning his or her sexuality. And I wouldn't want my child to grow up thinking gay is right. I have nothing against gay people at all, but I would prefer my child to go the correct route.

I feel that there's a time and a place to do everything, and if my child did have a gay teacher, then they would act in a mature adult manner and save their homosexual life for after school hours. With the issues going on today with homosexuals, that would cause problems in the school system. And whose to say when some teacher that you've known for such odd years are going to come out the closet and admit that their gay and have been for a while now.

So I mean its hard to say these days. Many people didn't think that their beloved Pastor, who have been teaching them the word from the man above couldn't possible be gay and look what happened. Being gay has become some what of a trend and some a couple of people close to me have come out and admitted to being gay. And I am homophobic in a sense, so did I turn my back and disown that person, no but Ive keep my distance. Homosexual females I'm not worried about, but males worry me a bit. But gay is gay and straight is straight and as long as each side respects the others decision its all good.

To Do or Not To Do

Prompt: Right or Wrong

When it comes down to it you're either right or you're wrong. There is no grey area in it. Now that the easy parts out the way, the question has yet to be answered what is considered right and whats considered wrong. The Bible teaches you that you should do unto others as you would have them do unto you. But for those who don't follow the same God you follow there beliefs might be more on the note of "Do unto to others as they have done unto you".

Many believe killing is wrong, but if someone came and killed someone they love, its kind of hard for you not to want the same for that person when their facing the death by injection penalty by a trail. Many people act before thinking about the consequences of their actions. And some simply don't care what the outcome is going to be. But there is no such thing as kind of wrong and kind of right in my opinion.

I have certain things that I think is wrong to do, but Ill still did it because at that time it was the right thing for me at that time but it was still wrong. No body's perfect and we all make mistakes, but the thing is learning how to do the right thing from the wrong things that you do.

People believe in different Gods, and some simply don't believe in God at all. How can you or anybody else say that a person is wrong for believing what that person wants to believe. Whose to say your God is the right God and there's is wrong because of your different beliefs. Right and wrong really depends on the person and what they think. Whats right to me might be different from what you think is right. Do that make you wrong, no. It's just all about what your morals are and what you believe in. People like to say that they were right for the wrong things that they did. But in all actuality, they were still wrong. It can be sugar coated but at the end its still wrong.

Through one eye to Another's

Prompt: Perception

Perception can be defined as the process, act, or faculty of perceiving or the effect or product of perceiving. (education.yahoo.com) Many people perceive me as being "ghetto" or "gangster" and these are false accusations. I wear baggy clothes because that's what makes me comfortable and that's what type person I am. I embrace hip-hop to the fullest, and I tend to follow alot of its trends as far as name brand clothes and shoes. My clothes maybe baggy but I bet they're clean and they're on point. That doesn't make me any worse than someone who wears Abercrombie or Hollister clothes.

I have been locked up and harassed by the Macon Police department and accused of being a drug dealer. Just recently I was handcuffed and thrown in the back of a squad car because he say that there was suspicion that my car was stolen all because I have a nice car with rims. I never sold drugs in my life, and everything I have Ive worked for. And to this day I don't point the finger and blame nobody.

In my eye everyone should be given the benefit of the doubt until proven other wise. I think its true that you cant judge a book by its cover. You can not fully understand a person until you have walked in their footsteps and lived your life in their shoes. And even then you cant understand that person. Everybody was not made the same so of course our decision making is going to be different. What a person lives by and practice on a daily routine, has everything to do with their judgements.

How many people have ever played the game where the teacher start off with a phrase, and whisper it in one students ear and that student has to whisper it in another students ear, and by the time it gets all the way around the phrase has changed completely. That's a good example of how people distort information. You can tell two people the same thing and they look at it completely different, because they are two different people. One may distort information that the other thought were key points. And your perception of this person is the wrong way about this person.

Since I was younger, Ive had prejudices against people who embrace the Confederate flag. In my opinion the Confederate flag symbolized slavery and segregation. And now it is a trend more than ever. As a person living in Georgia, I have been a witness that racism is still very much alive. And every time I see a Confederate flag all I can say to myself is that "There goes another person that don't like black people". I don't dwell on it, but its a thought that crosses my mind. I may not ever know why people wouldn't like black people and what the Confederate flag means to them, all I can say is that black people have came to far to even worry about it.

My name is Quan Daniely but I sometimes go by Juice.
